Refrigerator Parts--Defrost System
Heater, Thermostat, Timer/Adaptive Defrost Control
Defrost System Replacement Parts
Appliance Parts
The most common parts that need replaced are the defrost heater, the defrost thermostat, and the adaptive defrost control or defrost timer. It is best to shop around for the best prices from a reliable parts supply store. If you need the parts fast, you may have to pay extra for next day or overnight delivery.
I like to compare and/or order online because I get to compare prices from different parts suppliers. When ordering online, double check your numbers! If ordering in a store, check your parts before you leave the store. Make sure you have the correct part numbers that you looked up. If they differ, ask the clerk if it is because of a different manufacturer or other reason.
There are many part supply stores to check when ordering parts. Save by comparing!

Is a good investment that you can use on other repairs. You can get an inexpensive one if you only plan on using it on this diagnosis/repair.
You don't have to buy to compare prices and to find out what is included for that price. Don't lose money because you did not check!
