Coupons & Discounts: Savings for People Away from Home

Many people who are traveling or staying away from home don't have much extra money, so here is a way to make your cash go further. Use Coupons, discounts (and promo codes)!

These guys no doubt have a coupon organizer file so that they can use their money on other things. Remember, not using coupons is like throwing money away.

Here are some ways to help save money with coupons while away:

Parents and friends can clip or e-mail their relatives/friends coupons from home. It is like sending them a check! Parents are familiar with most products that their son's/daughter's use.

Even if you are eating with a dining ticket, there are coupons for fast foods when you go out, and for clothes and hygiene products.

Put a note on your buildings, in the diffrerent sleeping areas or other bulletin boards to see if other are interested in getting a group together to exchange coupons. Have each person gather all the coupons they can find by category, e.g., food, soap, clothes, fast foods. You can trade them or just take the ones you will use.

Some might want to just post the coupon on a bulletin board. That may help others and that is good, however, you don't get any coupons in exchange. You decide.

You can make of list of what products you use or are looking for, and make copies for other members of the group. One or two people could collect the coupons and distribute them when available.

I don't recommend just placing a "coupon box" in a common area. You will probably end up with expired coupons or trash, and your friends will soon forget why the box was placed there. This effort needs to be monitored and organized by a responsible person(s) if it is to be effective!
