Some stores still stock old fashioned candy--the types you got as a child. The different types of candy are different depending on when you grew up: 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's? Some brands may taste different to you today for a number of reasons. Of course you know that it is made today--not stockpiled from the 60's!

Check out the websites of the brand name companies. They sometimes offer special promotions/offers for online shoppers.
Do you remember the Black Jack chewing gum, the wax lips and /or vampire teeth, the taffy that almost pulled your teeth out, and maybe you were around for penny (1˘) candy? For ten cents you got a nice little bag of candy. Anybody remember the 5˘ candy bar (that was WAY bigger than the ones made today)?
Maybe you just like the contemporary brands and selection of candy. You might be a jelly bean snacker. In any case, it is nice when you can find a sample, a coupon or a discount to reduce the price and let you try some.
